If you are going to save $2’s, please make sure they are not already stamped for tracking on WheresGeorge.com. There are various markings/stamps that would indicate this on the bill (but most say something to the effect of “Track this bill at http://www.wheresgeorge.com“). If you find one, you can log it on the website to see where it came from, but at the least you should pass it on so it can continue its journey. There are anxious Georgers out there hoping for a “hit”.
And by the way, the U.S. Mint is still printing new $2’s almost every month. Ask for them (to spend) at your bank!

No – why would you get into trouble? They’re all legal currency :) I’d def. call or walk into the bank ahead of time though and let them know what you plan on doing so they can make it easier on everyone (them and you). It’s perfectly fine to deposit any number of bills at a bank, but it can take some time so better to prepare ahead so it can go smoothly.

I LIVE IN FLORIDA AND HAVE BEEN COLLECTING $2’S FOR AWHILE. THE PEOPLE AT THE BANK LOVE ME BECAUSE THEY HATE COUNTING THEM EVERYDAY. IF YOU ASK YOUR BANK TELLER THEY CAN ORDER THEM FOR YOU, USUALLY $200 AT A TIME. MY COLLECTION IS BEING SAVED FOR MY 3 MONTH OLD I FIGURE BY THE TIME HE IS OLD ENOUGH TO DRIVE I’LL HAVE ENOUGH TO GET HIM A NICE CAR.
