#10 I remember. I lived in the UK for a few years another interesting tax fact about them is the renter pays the property tax..oh and another vat tax is 20% and it’s already included in the price tag of all merchandise.

I got 6 of them wrong, most of the having to do with a specific state/country tax or involving a celebrity. I wanted to believe the Mark Cuban story, so of course I got that wrong. However, please tell me the Chuck Norris story is really false and you’re just messing with us. If not, someone at the IRS needs to be fired.

Re #13 – what makes it worse is there are two sets of rules for a side hustle. One set for those striving to make a profit, and one for those making a few bucks on the side with a hobby.

In reply to DJ @MyMoneyDesign. I was thinking of trying a manual filing myself last year (because I have too much time on my hands and think it would be funny)... But then I remembered any tiny mistake leads to probably being audited! Not worth the unnecessary risk :)

Great list Joel! Some of them I could have easily seen gone either way. I thought for sure that the story about Mark Cuban and the paper tax forms (#7) was going to be true, just because it would have made some great publicity. Thanks for the trivia.
